The View Pointe Ribbon Cutting & Open House

Morton Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the The View Pointe, 81A E. Queenwood Road, Morton, on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 4:30 p.m.

An open house was also held from 4-6 p.m. for both Magnified Vision and Tazewell County Resource Centers, Inc. (TCRC) Sight Center (formerly located in East Peoria) who are locating together at The View Pointe to form the largest vision rehabilitation center in downstate Illinois.

TCRC Sight Center provides innovative services for the blind and visually impaired. The Center helps individuals remain independent and self-sufficient through low vision optometric assessments, mobility services, specialized computer technology, community rehabilitation, optical aids and devices, and other support services.

Andreas Heim, president of Magnified Vision, says, “The View Pointe offers a unique, multi-faceted approach to vision rehabilitation. People with vision loss can find support in the many different challenges they face in their daily lives. This facility will allow hands-on trials of various assistive devices so people can find solutions that work best for them.”
