When Andreas Heim started Optron Assistive Technologies in 2004, it was with the clear focus on providing the best solution for every individual customer. “Assistive Technology is not just a device – it’s a service” has become our company's motto and is the leading idea up to this day.

With the continuous growth of the company and an increasing variety of products, Optron Assistive Technologies incorporated as “Magnified Vision, Inc.” in 2007.

Today, Magnified Vision, Inc. offers and supports one of the largest selection of video magnifiers in Illinois and is known for its excellent service and customer care.

We believe that we have reached this point through our constant efforts to offer our customers a reliable partnership in finding, testing and supporting the right assistive technology for their individual requirements.

Andreas Heim, owner and president of Magnified Vision, Inc., has a M.A. in Special Education with a focus on Low Vision and Blindness and is a certified Orientation & Mobility Instructor. He has worked for more than 10 years in agencies serving people who are blind or have low vision in Germany and the U.S.
